The Tudors (English monarchs with no power in Scotland) had nothing to do with the destruction of this Scottish Abbey. It was built by a Scottish noblewoman in memory of her husband. When she died the monks laid her to rest next to her husband and re-named the abbey as it is today. It was destroyed by those leading the Scottish Reformation in the 16th century
