Military Identity Discs 1971

Military Identity Discs 1971
My "dog tags", issued in 1971. When I filled in the paperwork for them to be stamped I put "Church in Wales" for religion; they came back as "CE" (Church of England) with an explanation "CW will confuse people!" (Good job the clerk wasn't a Satanist!) The three discs were to be worn two around the neck, and one on the respirator case, since in a blast, the head was likely to be ripped off and the discs scattered. On death in action, one disc was to stay on the body, one on the container (coffin, body bag etc.) and the third retained for forwarding to Records to confirm the casualty.
