Key Disc, 19 Mathews Terrace, Aldershot 1981-1982

Key Disc, 19 Mathews Terrace, Aldershot 1981-1982
The disc from the key for the toilet of 19 Mathews Terrace. This was our first married quarter in the army and we were extremely lucky to be allocated it rather than one of the Poulson slums of the 1960s such as Salamanca Park or Willems Park. Mathews Terrace was built in the 1920s and was rock solid; the houses are still in use today. Obviously originally part of Parsons Barracks, I don't know when it became Mathews Terrace.

I've just done a search, a mid terraced two bedroom house in Mathews Terrace has recently sold for £209,000 ?!?! Described as "ideal first time buyer or as investment".
