Tintern Abbey, Tintern, Monmouthshire 17 July 2015

A bit of a dead end! I can't help thinking this sign would look more logical on the end of that extension.

Tintern Abbey was founded in 1131 by Sir Walter fitz Richard of Clare, the second Cistercian Abbey in Britain. It was destroyed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 16th Century, by Henry VIII. Today an inspired ruin in the Wye Valley, it has inspired the likes of Wordsworth and Turner.

I wish I'd spotted that. I visited Tintern a couple of years ago - it was a glorious sunny day.

Just struck me as a bit of odd siting.
