Lower Wire Works, Angidy Valley, Tintern, Monmouthshire 17 July 2015
The site of the Lower Wire Works in the Angidy Valley. This important industrial site was established in the 16th Century to produce wire, and metal was worked here until 1895. This works was the largest industrial complex in Wales in the 1600s, Middle and Upper Wire Works being established up the valley, as well as a furnace. The large building housed four water wheels. It now forms part of the "Angidy Trail".
