A "Men Only" bar? Before one jumps to conclusions, it should be pointed out that Australian men used always to want to drink well away from the Sheilas (women).

That said, however, look if you will, at the gentleman in the grey suit - such lustful provocation in smouldering bespectacled eyes, and his right leg mimicing that of the quarry, who feigns indifference!

You are so perspicacious, Mr. weshallmeetonthebeautifulshore - as ever! Indeed, "male only" bars in exclusive hotels often insisted that their barmaids look elegant and the wearing of pearls was positively encouraged!

As regards my experience of Australian men . . . we shall see!

I had a girl-friend (a friend-girl?) who lived in Australia for a year and insisted that while the men often looked very good, they were lousy in bed. I've often wondered whether this was a fair observation, or the fault of my friend.

Her boyfriend was a real sweetie, and gorgeous to boot. I house-sat for him down in Pacifica and took care of his pet wolf while he was on vacation. Last I heard they were married and had three kids. I lost track of them when I left the Bay Area.
