Don't form an opinion of him from this; the one I will send you later is a better one. We were at the matinee Saturday. It reminded me of you and Cleveland. I suppose you received my letter a few days ago. Have been busy all week writing letters, acknowledging gifts. I will tell you all of them when we get settled." Signed "Marge", an added note reads; " This is not a 'really' auto just a card behind which we could sit to have this wonderful photo. We felt so silly when we sat down that we giggled for about ten minutes."

PMB070 WINNIPEG - (WOOLWORTH - FASHIONCRAFT FIRE)

13 Jul 2016 1 142
PHOTOGRAPH 13 X 8 cm Date: The fire took place on January 24, 1922. Publisher / Photographer: Unidentified Notation: This is not a postcard. The buildings involved were 258-262 Portage Avenue. This is a more panoramic image of the fire than most postcard images show. I particularly like that it includes the Bank of Nova Scotia (on the far left, at the intersection of Portage & Garry) as it was initially constructed. In this form, the bank opened for business in 1910, but around 1930, it added another section to the right/west of what is seen in this image.
