The caption reads; "First motor boat on Red River at Wpeg. Bought by GHS from MacNamara at Ry River (Rainy River) who had used it as a ferry between the Canadian & U.S. sides of River."

Wow ... this completely blows away my entire collection! Amazing stuff. Any idea of the date -- 1890s?

Don't know the date on this one. There are four more photos from this album. One of them also features an image of "GHS", the owner of this boat. It is dated 1901. It is likely this photo was taken at the same time.
