MN0952 MORRIS - GREAT NORTHERN FLYER LEAVING

MN0952 MORRIS - GREAT NORTHERN FLYER LEAVING
Posted October 11, 1905 from Morris to Winnipeg.
Publisher: R. C. T. Collins

While there is no attribution to confirm this, the photographer was most certainly G. A. Barrowclough.

Richard Charles Frist Collins was a Druggist by trade and member of the Morris City Council from 1907 - 1913. According to the 1906 Census, he was, at that time, a boarder at the Kastner Hotel (the two-story white building seen at the distant right in this image). He is known to have published several lithograph postcards in later years which are strongly suspected to have been produced from original photographs by G. A. Barrowclough.

That is a great card ... probably worth much more as a railway collectable. One of the best Barrowcloughs, for sure.
