... E noi crescevamo così, selvatici....

... E noi crescevamo così, selvatici....
Mario Castelnuovo, “La sinfonia dei grilli"

A parte forse la sporcizia
dentro alle mie unghie
non avevo altri risparmi
L'adolescenza
era in istante silenzioso
... e noi crescevamo così, selvatici...
E sotto al chiaro della luna
ad ascoltare insieme
la lieve sinfonia dei grilli
ma poi con gli anni avvertivamo,
e sulla nostra pelle,
che era finita la stagione
e chi partiva in treno
allora in terza classe
al centro di una notte scura
partiva un pò per sempre...
diceva buon viaggio in fretta, lui,
e noi rispondevamo in coro,
ed era buon viaggio
a tutta la vita.

Mario Castelnuovo, "The symphony of the crickets"

Aside from perhaps the dirt
in my nails
I had no other savings
the teenage years
was a nice luxury
a coquettish
that is exhausted in a few years
and the smiles were rare in those parts
that the lack of teeth
did not favor wastage
but there was a mysterious sense of happiness
and yet there was a sense of mysterious ...
And that school among the wheat
invaded by the mistral
to the sound of threshing
and the old men went to crosses
as you go through the vineyards,
men bent under the sun
and she had big eyes ,
two stones
giving around his love for the fields
as verdigris
and there was a silent moment of eternity,
There was a silent moment
... and we we so grew, wild ...
And under the moonlight
to listen together
the gentle symphony of the crickets
but then over the years we felt ,
and on our skin,
that had ended the season
and those who left by train
then in the third class
in the middle of a dark night
started a little forever ...
said good trip in a hurry , he,
and we answered in chorus ,
and it was a good trip
to all our life.
