I’ve been there once, many years ago, when our daughter was little. In my perception, Toys ’R’ Us is cheaper than most other toy shops; no problem, if you wouldn’t buy MORE toys than in other toy shops...

This is true, Kees.... But unfortunately it is just about impossible to take a young person in here without spending a small fortune! They see something and they simply must have it! If you do not provide, you are a terrible parent... etc etc... (Actually, in truth we got away quite cheaply... :-) )
