Thanks a lot, Isabel! This is sandstone (as opposed to Icelandic basalt;-) Like you I still have plenty of photos from Iceland but so many things like this Ipernity meeting got in the way....I'm hopelessly behind and probably won't be able to catch up until mid November.

Such a fantastic rock formation.............and really well named..!! I love this shot Gudrun, it's so sinister looking in B/W. The detail you've captured is amazing and that sky is really threatening but also beautiful. I like the vignette too........it really draws the eye in..!!

I recommend this is viewed large, on black.............it's brilliant..!!

The threatening sky along with the light on the ground and the wonderful lines in the rocks, work together to make a extremely dramatic picture Gudrun. The top of the rock appears to have the face of a lizard! I have just noticed that! Beautiful work indeed.
