Húsavíkurkirkja

The small church is one of few buildings left at Húsavík in the East fjords of Iceland. The last permanent inhabitants left the place in 1972 but the church is well maintained and open to the public (see note for inside shot).

Die kleine Kirche ist eines der wenigen erhaltenen Gebäude in Húsavík in den isländischen Ostfjorden. Die letzten Bewohner gaben den Ort 1972 auf, aber die Kirche istt sehr gepflegt und steht allen Besuchern offen (siehe PiP).

Herzlichen Dank, Udo! Diese kleinen isländischen Holzkirchen haben alle einen ähnlichen Stil. Die bayrischen Kapellen sind zwar katholisch, dort ist man lutherisch, aber sie ähneln sich wirklich!

Haha, die Laufställchen hat es bei diesen Kirchlein immer:-) Sie sehen sich auch äußerlich oft ziemlich ähnlich, ich vermute fast, dass die auch wie viele Häuser teilweise als Fertigbausatz per Schiff kamen.Ins Gästebuch habe ich mich nicht eingetragen (ich stehe auf Kriegsfuß mit Gästebüchern), aber andere haben es getan.
