Merci vielmals, Lutz! Die Farbgebung fand ich traumhaft, kühl im Schiff und im Chor und der Dreifaltigkeitskapelle immer bunter. Und überall diese klaren Linien!
Wenn's nicht um's Geld wäre, könnte man in Salisbury ein ideales Fototreffen machen, es gibt auch Turmführungen in der Kathedrale!

Besten Dank, Ko! Das hat sich bei mir mit der 6D ganz deutlich entspannt, da kann man ungeniert mit hoher ISO fotografieren! Und RAW ist natürlich auch hilfreich.

Wunderschöne Linienführung, staune, wieviel von der Decke zu sehen ist, Hochformat macht es möglich und natürlich Vollformat.
Stimme dir zu, was du zum Richten mit Lightroom sagst, probiere da auch gerne mal, damit es nicht zu unnatürlich rüber kommt. Einige Verzerrungen rechnen die Kameras ja bereits im Vorfeld heraus.
Von mir auch ein Sternchen dazu und beim Treffen bin ich hier dabei :-)).

Großen Dank, Uwe! Ich hatte hier auch im Original sehr viel Decke drauf und habe dann die Version gewählt, die das mehr oder weniger unangestastet gelassen hat. Die Stühle waren jetzt nicht so schön, dass ich geheult habe, welche zu verlieren;-)
Wir haben doch in Hildesheim jemand aus England dabei, man könnte sowas ja mal echt diskutieren;-)

Salisbury fills me with awe because of the perfect proportions, the light and airiness. Some continental churches are overloaded with decorations and feel suffocating...

;-) yes I know what you mean, it can be a distraction, should I say that ?
well I think so, but it's personal preference of course, but when I visited a little
tiny old church last year in the middle of the cotswolds on the edge of field,
there was no electricity ;-) only candles, it is open only at Christmas and
baptisms and funerals, inside .. it was a wonderful experience so still
so full of atmosphere and a presence without a doubt of the past, the
saying silence is deafening applies . . . you wanted to tip toe out quietly ;-)

Herzlichen Dank, Dida! Man kann verstehen, warum die Kathedrale all die Bücher inspiriert hat. Der Turm hat sich übrigens etwas geneigt und die Pfeiler in der Vierung sind verbogen, aber es hält alles noch:-)

solche Kreuzgewölbe, aber sind nicht immer einfach zu fotografieren. Hier besticht die Zentralperspektive in Verbindung mit der gewaltigen Säulenreihe.

Großen Dank, Volker! Natürlich habe ich da die Perspektive korrigiert- muss man ja immer machen, wenn man kein Tilt-Shift hat:-) Aber diese genial klare Architektur in Salisbury macht einem das Fotografieren leichter.

Die Kirche war schon sehr Eindrucksvoll von innen. - Es gab auch einen Ausflug zu Winchester Cathedral, hätte mich auch interessiert, aber da war Stonehenge nicht mit dabei.

Alles auf einmal geht nicht, dann ist Winchester eben bei einer anderen Reise dran;-) Die Kathedrale lohnt sich jedenfalls auch sehr! Eogentlich würde sich da eine komplette Eglandreise anbieten, denn auch Canterbury, Gloucester, Ely, Lincoln, York und Durham haben geniale Kathedralen!
