I agree, Siegfried, but find the fright factor to be greater than the sense of the absurd.

Thank you, Don: you're the War Photgrapher from the City Where the War is Over But the People Live On, and I value your perspective and take on such things - you work in the actual America, where most of the suffering yet dignified Americans are.

Such places exist in pockets around me, but, unlike you, I avoid going to and photographing them, and make metaphors about tribal savagery like this instead.
