Das ist, wo ich seit 1992 fast jedes Jahr im Spätsommer hinfahre, meistens mit einem oder beiden meiner Söhne, Familienurlaub sozusagen. imho ein Traumplätzchen mit vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten ins Hinterland. Die Webseite der Pension geht zur Zeit nicht (under construction wie vieles in Griechenland), der Ort heißt Falasarna an der Westküste von Kreta, Übersicht:

A sudden burst of sunlight, as through broken clouds is a sunburst, which you've captured quite impressively. So, the question remains: Is photography an art form, or, is it a matter of opportunity? :-) Terrific shot!

*laughing* Now, there's an honest fellow! :-)

You know, I believe it was the Italian astronomer Cassini ( who in 1675 discovered that each ring of Saturn was composed of multiple smaller rings with gaps between them), who said that there were no straight lines in nature. Yet, the rays emanating from your sunburst look awfully straight to me. Or, is it an optical illusion? Still a terrific shot. :-)
