I meant in the good sense - no matter what you think of his plots, directing, producing et.c., you can't deny he does have some pretty stylish spooky-trees in his slightly gothic flicks! ;D

I actually like both versions. What do you see as the problem with the older version? But I am a huge fan of tree pictures and may be prejudiced. Both seem to me razor sharp with details that encourage you to get lost in the details of the branches!

Look at the largest version of both. The new version is exactly how I see the original on my computer, you can see any details without getting tired, the old version has a halo glow around the smaller twigs, which makes it hard to watch the picture more than 5 seconds, plus the nuances in the shadows get lost. No, the new version is how I made the pic.
