Larry Johnson 49 - Contemplative moment

Larry Johnson 49 - Contemplative moment
Larry Johnson is an American east coast electric blues singer and guitarist, a disciple of Reverend Gary Davis. These images were taken during the recording session for his album 'Blues for Harlem' in June 1999 - for details of the album see www.amazon.com/Blues-Harlem-Larry-Johnson/dp/B00005B2C9. The session was produced by Bernie Marsden and Michael Roach. This was an incredible experience. All songs were laid down in one take and the intensity of Larry's playing and the emotion in his voice was a joy to behold. I feel very lucky having the opportunity to have met this man and to listen to his amazing work close up. For more details see:

Taken with Nikon 801s using Ilford FP4 400asa slide film, pushed to 1600asa (or 3200asa - I can't remember now - hence the golfball sized grain),.and scanned in with Nikon Coolscan V (LS-50).

Thank you to Everybody for your comments and awards. Very much appreciated.
