Sid Poole 'Gibson Les Paul' Copies leaning on a Fender Amplifier

Sid Poole 'Gibson Les Paul' Copies leaning on a Fender Amplifier
Taken from Bernie's website: www.berniemarsden.co.uk/index.php?page=Guitar+Gallery
These two guitars were made by the late Sid Poole and I use these all the time nowadays. These are fantastic guitars. The quality is so high that Gibson weren't too happy about it, but Sid, just laughed it off ! I was so thrilled with the first guitar (on the left) that when it was delivered (around 1995) I instantly ordered a second - the one on the right which is more of a blues Les Paul. The one on the left is based on my '59 Gibson Les Paul "The Beast" and is a rockier guitar. For the anoraks, the second guitar is much the same body with the neck modelled from a 1964 ES 335 I have, it has Tom Holmes pick ups, the original guitar has Seymour Duncan pick ups.

Image taken on a Nikon 801s on Kodak negative film in the late 90's while they were being shot for a magazine article. Scanned on a Nikon Coolscan V (LS50). Very grainy shots, but this is probably more down to my lack of scanning skills rather than anything else. I may retry in the future.
