Demo of Cooliris Photo Viewer on EeePC Netbook

Thought I'd record a short demonstration of the Cooliris photo viewer. Cooliris is a free plug-in tool for Firefox (IE and Safari ports are also available).

It works really well on Firefox for Linux as well as with the limited system resources of netbooks, like the EeePC.

In the last couple of minutes of the video I plug in a full sized LCD monitor.

If you haven't tried Cooliris yourself yet, give it a go. http://www.cooliris.com

You're welcome. I also discovered that it works really well with photo collections on my personal hard drive and network. It doesn't organize or catalog them, but when you want to simply scan the photos you have stored on your PC, it's really effective.

David Spro replies:
I already installed it and works well on my Debian, I'm also discovered that there is possibility to scan photos on my PC. Also to search for videos on Youtube is easier at least for me.

Badly it's just for iceweasel 3 - here was an 2.0.0.19 cause I would like to use a few greasemonkeyscripts which didn't work with 3.x.cty

That's unfortunate.

Excellent!

Yes, I've also found YouTube easier to browse and search with the use of Cooliris.

The sound isn't working for me at the moment though.

Glad you like it.

No sound in this video. The video "speaks" for itself, I think. ;o)

It's an interesting way to do your on-line shopping, too. It'd be nice to see more virtual shops become Cooliris friendly.
