02-13 Snowdrops at Rode Hall
Snowdrops appear early in the year often pushing through the snow. Also known as Candlemas bells, they flower on Candlemas Day, 2 February, the day that used to mark mid winter. Snowdrops are possibly native to Britain, but were not recorded until 1770.
