The Woodward, 2311 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, 5 September 2015. This photo is part of a series documenting the apparent fetish of postmodern architects for putting skeletal turrets atop their office and apartment buildings. This particular example decidedly predates the postmodern movement, having been designed by Harding and Upman and built in 1913, but it seems worth including as a precursor.
