Satirical drawing of Winston Churchill (1943; artist: Kondo Hidezo, 1908-79), British Museum, London, 19 July 2013. From the wall text:

The cover of this issue of Manga magazine depicts the British Prime minister Winston Churchill (1874-[19]65) wearing Indian robes and chewing a bone, rather than his trademark cigar. It was produced in 1943 after Japan had invaded Malaya and Burma (Myanmar) and declared them independent from British rule. Under the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere, Japan aimed to create a self-sufficient bloc of Asian nations led by the Japanese and free of western powers. Although the Japanese were initially welcomed, resistance movements to Japanese rule in Burma and Malaya quickly sprang up.
