Someone made a very personal statement at this roadside shrine. A week later the two bottles were gone.

Jean, Alain Atrân, Christina Port, Laxevaag (Halvor Olsen) have particularly liked this photo

In My Opinion, the most striking thing about this image is your choice of presenting it in black and white - which combines so cleverly with the fact that one of the empty bottles (and possibly it's just a 'happy accident') was of Black & White whisky. Genius!
That aside, it is also a very powerful emotive statement; one imagines that the death was probably caused by, or at least related in some way to, the consumption of alcohol. Certainly it has left me wondering - which is always a good thing in a photograph.

A fantastic image.
An excellent processing in a very strong black and white.
An original composition very well lighted up by the slight shades of blue.
Great texture.
A beautiful shot.

I agree with Jenny - it's a thought provoking image that certainly leaves me with as many questions as answers. One thing is certain and that's that a tragedy occurred here. The B&W treatment suits the subject matter very well and the vignetting adds to the somber mood.

There's a beautiful fiddle tune, a waltz, called "Black Velvet." Next time I play it, I'll remember this powerful image.

I'd like to hear that fiddle tune. Maybe I can find it on Pandora.

It tells a story yet leaves the viewer with questions and makes them think. The best kind of image.
