They have only left the Cow Parsley because people complain about it being cut down, but they will mow the whole lot before the plants can seed. The council says that motorists can't see. Mowing the verges destroys habitat for insects and bees, and leaves little food for the birds to feed to the chicks, as well as the pollution caused by the contractors. On top of that it costs us £2.00 per head for this onslaught of the countryside.
