Aug2013 091 Honey bee on Borage
A large patch of Borage had grown seemingly almost over night and the bees moved in. Although the borage had encroached on to valuable space in the veg bed I couldn't bear to deprive the bees by pulling some up. Instead I enjoyed sitting beside the area watching the bees. I tried taking numerous shots which just resulted in blurred bees or just the flowers because the bees were never still. Normally they slow down a bit in August but not this year. I imagine that the late start in Spring means they have a lot of catching up to do.
