Gloster Meteor N.F 11 & de Havilland Vampire T.55

This very Meteor being built at this very airfield in 1952 and serving in various RAF/MoD roles till retired in 1975, The intervening years being spent in private hands at Blackbushe and Bournemouth till being acquired by Air Atlantique at Coventry in 2004. The Vampire T.55 was built for - and assembled in Switzerland for -the Swiss Air Force as a T.55 (The export version of the RAF T.11) serving till 1990. Acquired in 2004 it now wears fictitious RAF markings, and is still used for jet pilot training.
