Peregrine Falcon
The Pergrine is renowened for it's speed reaching 120 mph approx falling on it's caractereristic swoop ;-)

I think he had fallen out with his wife the day I took this shot he was very crotchety ;-(

, Claudine Gaulier-Denis, , and 3 other people have particularly liked this photo

200mph... no.. 120mph and very impressive with it .

As a falconer of many years... I have a passion for birds of prey.. but they are subject to a little mis information !

His good Lady will be bigger than he. Sexual diamorphism.. the female is always bigger and therefore prised as a falconers hunting companion.

Beautiful photo Mike...makes my heart beat faster....

Thanks for the info Pam I read that these birds do fly at about 150 mph but when diving they reach speeds of 200mph but I know they go fast a lot faster than me lol.
This was taken from an article I was reading.

Mike... mostly the speeds quoted are the difference between an armchair falconer..and a real one who walks and flies their birds 365 days a year.

Alot of the demo people also gild the lily so to speak !

Heck.. its like a stoop at 120 mph isnt enough !!

You just try it !! from 2000 feet... and still accelerating 3 feet off the ground and tuning 180 degrees !!

I certainly never thought my birds were lacking speed !!!

Thanks again Pam, I've changed the speed on the title cause I don't want him caught for speeding lol :))))
But I do understand what you say that some people do get a bit carried away when printing things ? Without the real knowledge like you :)
