The black viscous gel inside was used as a dye for clothes.

Champignon non commestible, poussant sur les terres pauvres généralement près des eucalyptus, des chênes verts ou des cystes.
Le gel noir visqueux présent à l’intérieur était utilisé comme colorant pour les vêtements.

Wow a huge mushroom and the one in the PIP looks like a creature of some sorts. How interesting! Like Amelia I thought it looked a tortoise or perhaps an egg of some sort ready to crack open!

Je n’avais pas vu un semblant de tortue. J’ai pensé à un tatou. Mais effectivement ce n’est qu’une espèce de pomme de terre remplie d’encre noire. En vieillissant ce n’est plus qu’un tas de poussière.
