Damselfly on Creeping Soft Grass

Damselfly on Creeping Soft Grass
One from last summer - this beautiful little Common Blue Damselfly – Enallagma cyathigerum - was flitting about, here and there, not really knowing just where to settle. Luckily, after a bit of chasing about, it landed at the top of a stem of Creeping Soft-Grass – Holcus mollis – right by the side of the path we were following it from. It stayed just long enough for me to get a couple of shots in before it flew off again. Seen at Brockholes Nature Reserve, near Preston.
