We kept seeing (and following) these beautiful Citrus Swallowtail – Demodocus citrus – butterflies in the grounds of our hotel, the Laico Atlantic in Banjul, The Gambia, but never saw one settle anywhere near us. I spotted one fluttering into a tree growing against a shady wall of the hotel, crept closer to investigate and was amazed to find these two resting. I carefully parted some branches and managed to poke my lens through to get a couple of shots off before they were disturbed. A bit grainy because of high ISO owing to the very shady surroundings but I really like the picture.
