London in the Springtime Again!

London in the Springtime Again!
Film: Orwo Color NC3 @EI16, expired motion picture film produced c. 1982, @EI16
Process: Orwo 5188, self-mixed chemistry, 9 mins development @ 21*C
Camera: Zenit E, Helios 44-2 lens, 85B (KR12) warming filter
Scanner: Optronics ColorGetter Falcon drum scanner

Having acquired and repaired a drum scanner, I have rescanned this photograph, which I originally uploaded last year.

This was my first attempt at wet-mounting, and it looks OK, complete with a stray bubble or two! Luckily, that hasn't affected the image itself.

Orwo Color NC3 was a tungsten-balanced motion-picture negative film based on the old Agfacolor process. I'm much happier with the look and balance of the new scan, and I am amazed by the result from this film, which was 33 years old when this image was taken.

Thanks everyone! @e-person... I'm not sure you would want to try my scanning skills... :) However, drum scanners are available at a few hundred £/$/€ if you're willing to work with old systems and do most of your own maintenance.

Thanks giovanegian, Marta! I'm still not absolutely happy with the colours but they are certainly better than the original. But it hopefully proves the film is still pretty good even though it's lost speed...
