No Entry... Or Exit!

Camera: Leica IIIa, Summar 5cm f2, yellow (022) filter

These are the Bear Gates at Traquair House, by Innerleithen, Peeblesshire in the Scottish Borders. According to legend, Charles Edward Stuart, Bonnie Prince Charlie, visitied Traquair House during the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion. Following his departure, the Earl of Traquair vowed the gates would never be opened again until a Stuart king was crowned in London. As there has been no Stuart king since, the gates have remained locked for nearly 300 years.

This was my third go with KB50 using Rodinal rather than my usual Orwo R09. It worked well, but I am not sure I like the look, and it is difficult to keep dust from being attracted to the PET base.
