This thing is completely empty. If the firing pin has fallen in the grenade it is difficult to get it out again. You can hear it rattling. As with a piggy bank upside down and shaking :)

My brother and I played with it in the forties/fifties and later my children too. Then I lost it for years. Last year I found it back under a radiator from the cental heating in my study. That was the reason to take this photo ;)
