Remember Snowy Farr

Remember Snowy Farr
The top of the statue to Snowy Farr outside the Guildhall in Market Hill in Cambridge. Snowy Farr was a former street cleaner who raised thousands of pounds for charity by appearing in Cambridge city centre wearing old fashioned military uniform, unusual hats and accompanied by (and often covered by) and range of tame animals - mice, cats, birds, etc. He died in 2007 aged 87 or 88. The statue is a colourful abstract work by Gary Webb and was unveiled in August 2012.
