As we ate lunch a little breeze came up and the clouds darkened a bit...it didn't end up lasting..but it leant an interesting mood to the moment...

The beautiful shades of those mountains, those big clouds, a beautiful capture!

What an awesome view. I love it when you are high enough to see the mountains fading into the distance and all the shades of blue. This makes me eager to get out hiking again, but that season is about finished, at least in the mountains. We've had two or three feet of snow in the mountains already.

Thanks, Ron...I do too....I've heard there has been a lot of snow in the Pacific Northwest already...and some hikers lost on the PCT....because of this! It's important to be respectful of mountains....even here in the east where they are much lower...this area around Eisenhower and Washington can be quite dangerous...with whiteouts and avalanches and intense winds!
