Hickory tussock moth caterpillar

Hickory tussock moth caterpillar
I believe I've identified this correctly. Thanks to Pam J for getting me looking in the right direction. It is similar, certainly, to the white-marked tussock moth caterpillars, but not identical. Just now I've run across documentation of hickory tussock moth caterpillar photos that look very similar.

I photographed this on a birch tree near our small pond in Vermont.

Thanks, Pam, for the direction. Though I thought it was certainly similar to the white-marked tussock moth, it didn't look exactly like it. As I've listed under the photo now I've just found documentation showing a picture that looks much more similar to a hickory tussock moth caterpillar. What do you think?
