Parker Cove Lighthouse, ca. 1900

Parker Cove Lighthouse, ca. 1900
Parker Cove (also written Parker's Cove or Parkers Cove) is a small community located on the Bay of Fundy, approximately 5 km due north of the town of Annapolis Royal. Fishing was and remains one of its main activities.

Little is known about its lighthouse, except that it was established in 1909 and was described in the Department of Marine's List of Lights for 1915 as "white, square, wood," 22 feet in height from base to vane, "on the breakwater, 57 feet from its outer end."

The lighthouse was still listed in 1940, but by 1957 had been replaced by a light on a pole.

The mid-distant view seen on this fuzzy postcard appears to be the only available image of the Parker Cove Lighthouse.
