PolkaDots

PolkaDots
Windows98 Project - Number 71 - Oxford

I tried to capture the dotty film that had been put over this window. It was very faint, but with the two stripes placed strategically, I think that it creates a photo of worth?

As it is all about textures, and patterns, it would be very useful to view in 2048 size. Difficult to judge the technical merit. Aesthetically it is pleasing, with the similar but different patterns on either side. The symmetry is eye catching too. IMO, I'm not sure about this one, although it qualifies as a modern art piece.

A very original and creative composition.
I would say, an abstract canvas,in which it stands black and white minimalism.
Like a painting, to the viewer is left the imagination of possible forms and scenes.
Even for a psychoanalyst, the work to interpret each observation.
;-)
Great job.

Ahhh, a nice addition to your abstract collection and your windows collection. I am immediately drawn to the symmetry and pattern...how many dots are in the darker striped areas? And how many X's in the grayer areas? And notice that it depends on what you are looking at whether one sees dots or X's? Ingriguing! I think if this were my shot, I'd be tempted to bring out the blacks in that left most strip so that the symmetry is more complete. Alternatively, I am curious what it would look like if it were asymmetric. Or even cropping out the leftmost column! Lots to experiment with and you've given your view much to ponder and delight in...nice work In My Opinion.
