RedAnteaterS

RedAnteaterS
Aka Brief Encounter VII. For “Auntie” Fran.
An unexpected stardust blizzard hits the Not-So-Bad-Lands and causes an abnormal meeting of creatures: the Red Badger, tutelary spirit of the groves, meets an absconded giant anteater. Much puzzlement, initial confusion and eventually spontaneous merrymaking ensues. Tea and coffee are dispensed by the (invisible) dryads and all is fluffy. Have a lovely week.
PS. "Auntie" Fran is a recent find. I found her blog whist surfing desultorily. And what a find it was! Anyway, she likes anteaters. I had this very, very, very old one gathering e-dust in my Cretaceous HD so I though I'd give it a new lease of digital life and a companion. Red Badgers make very good companions, don'tyouthinkso?

That’s a lovely encounter. It would make a great stained glass window in your personal Sagrada Familia.

My personal SF? You mean the Shoggies, the Tadpoles, the Wee Worms, the Badlands and so on? I hope you do. I'll have no truck with the pretentious corporate display of idiocy that has become what poor don Antoni tried to get off the ground. Besides, we don't "do" churches at all, although we really like some early Romanesque bits and bobs.

I thought it might be a dodgy metaphor! I’ll try harder next time!

Who wouldn't love an anteater? Except possibly an ant and, I suppose, Dec.

I’m fond of the naiads too, but they’re trickier to spell.

Badgers are brave fighters, for example, but I have never met a red badger before.
So if red badgers are not only brave like their wild relatives,
but also tutelary spirits of the groves, that is really great. :)
Fantastic work as always, Dolores!

Badgers of any colour are lovely. Red badgers are especially cute and also brave, very
! silly and magnificent dancers, did you know that? Not all red badgers are tutelary spirits, though. Some are hyper travel agents; others are just red badgers.
Thanks for the presence and the invites, mademoiselle butterfly. Stay sane.

I'm in a blue funk, actually. I would appear that Homerton Hostipal (as Baldrick would say) finally is ready to replace my practically non-existent right kneecap. The pre-assessment appointments sound like a small nightmare on wheels. But enough of me...:-)
I'm fine. How are you, me ol' china?
