Fahrenstedt - Kirche

The small village Fahrenstedt belongs to the larger Böklund (known by the "Böklunder Würstchen" - a brand for sausages)..

The medieval fieldstone church, built in the 13th century, at the crossing of a small river, was probably located on the way from Schleswig to St. Georgs Church in Struxdorf, the oldest church in the area. Only after the church was built did a village form around it.

The centuries-old guardian watched us. Unfortunately, the church was locked.
