Vouhé - Notre-Dame de l'Assomption

Vouhé - Notre-Dame de l'Assomption
The parish church was probably erected originally within the 11th and 12th century, but most parts of it date to the 19th century, but near the apse are still some Romanesque capitals.

Here is a hybrid beast. A lion with a bearded human head. Such a manticore is known from early persian times. Such manticores were described and illustrated in medieval bestiaries.
