Spring Crocus Bloom

Spring Crocus Bloom
This shot was taken on Monday which was very springlike with unbroken sunshine and temperatures up to 10C or 50F. The location was a small green off the Aldwick Road in Bognor Regis, UK. The crocus there grow randomly in the grass, much better than the regimented rows in some parks.

The image is formed from a Stack of 30 images all at slightly different focus and stacked in Photoshop. Full details of the focus stacking technique can be found on a Blog entry from last year see - edwinjonesphotography.com/blog/2015/2/february-spring-crocus-bloom

The camera used was a Sony A550 with a Sigma 28-80 zoom with a macro function at 80mm. Taken on a mini Tripod. Main processing was first Topaz Clarity for more detail and then Topaz Impressions for a texture and stronger blue.
