Ghost Ship in Greenwich HDR

Ghost Ship in Greenwich HDR
The Shot
This is a somewhat different shot from my recent visit to Greenwich in London, UK. This is an image of the Cutty Sark. Following the fire and renovation there is an area around the base enclosed with a glass structure. Thus the image is a mixture of the plaza outside, reflections on the glass and the area inside. The white haired man is inside. This and the other parts of Greenwich including the Observatory are part of the Greenwich World Heritage site.

The picture was taken handheld with a Sony A700 with a Samyang Fisheye lens at 8 mm. 3 raw images 2EV spacing. I decided to go with the middle image and create 2 more images from that for a false HDR. The original image had a green cast on the light inside the structure so I decided mono was the best look. Conversion was done in Photomatix with toning in Topaz. Additional adjustments and crop were done in Photoshop

Auribins has particularly liked this photo
