City Train East India DLR

City Train East India DLR
The Shot

I took this on my last London day trip.
The picture was taken at the East India Station Docklands Light Railway platform. The buildings in the distance are part of the Canary Wharf financial district

The picture was taken with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 10-20 wide angle zoom at 12mm. Taken handheld resting on the barrier at the end of the platform at 800 ISO. One RAW image. The image was opened in Camera Raw and 2 additional images were created at =2EV and -2Ev for a “false HDR” with each image having Noiseware Pro applied. A Photoshop action I had saved was used to create the extra images automatically. Opened in Photoshop first and each image noise reduced with Noiseware Pro and saved as tiffs.

Probably went for too long a shutter speed to get the train movement. Even resting on the barrier the problem was that the whole platform vibrates as a train passes.
