Passenger Wait London Underground

Passenger Wait London Underground
The Shot

On Saturday I took another day trip to London which included some London underground shots. This one was on the eastern edge of the Central Line.

I think that permits are required for professional photography but casual photographs are allowed but no tripods and no flash.

The picture was taken with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 10-20 wide angle zoom at 10mm. Taken handheld at 1/8 of a second. Taken in RAW originally intended for HDR but I found it came out better just using Camera Raw, Topaz and Photoshop.

Photoshop

First adjusted in Topaz vibrant detail with adjustments to suit and a layer mask to part exclude from some areas.

General adjustments in levels and curves to enhance with layer masks to exclude the highlight areas

Vibrance layer was decreased by 11 points.

Brightness reduced with a layer mask to apply only to the corners and especially the light top right.

Colour balance adjustment layer to bring down a slight green cast.

Noiseware Pro

Unsharp Mask a little sharpening.

Duplicate layer with mask to apply extra sharpening (clarity effect)with layer mask to exclude highlight areas.

Healing brush with Content Aware CS5 used to remove some floor marks.

Clone brush used to remove a large and distracting letter g on the green advertising hoarding. Clone brush also used to remove the edge of somebody’s shoe bottom right.
