Conciergerie Hall Paris

Conciergerie Hall Paris
The Shot

This shot was taken on the second full day of my stay in Paris when it again rained so indoors was the order of the day. This is the Guards Hall dating from medieval times of the Conciergerie which was a former Palace and prison. The building already had a fearsome reputation before the prison part became known as the waiting room for the Guillotine at the time of the Revolution.

I got there reasonably early and at the far corner of the Hall nobody said no when I set up a tripod.

The picture was taken with a Tripod with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 10-20 wide angle zoom at 10mm. 3 raw images 2EV spacing for HDR. Opened in Photoshop first and each image noise reduced with Noiseware Pro and saved as tiffs.

The HDR was created using Photomatix and additional enhancements in Topaz adjust and adjustment layers in Photoshop.

Full details of the processing together with before and after images are on my brand new Blog
