Keith, this was 23mm with a bridge camera - I don't quite understand their focal lengths, but I guess I was about 100mm on a DSLR...so not THAT brave. However, when I was a child I was always willing to take on bee dares, because I was never particularly scared of them - my mum used to keep bees.

Traveling! I grew up with bees too. Would call the bee man today not for protection but because he wants to gather as many swarms as he can. Bees are so necessary, and they are not doing well here.

I phoned a beekeeper friend and asked if he wanted them, but he had no space, so advised them to call the local Beekeepers' Association....thoughI'm not sure what the final outcome was. They seem to have gone
