Buttermere

Buttermere
The lovely Buttermere, in the English Lake District National Park.
Bit of a trick photo, this one, to be honest. To get the extreme depth of field I merged two pictures, taken from an identical spot.
The rock in the foreground may look big, but it is actually about the size of a house brick, and was only around 50cm from my lens, whilst the mountains in the background are a Kilometer or two distant. The first shot focussed on the rock, the second on the background. A little Photoshoppery later, et voilà!

This is a beautiful image - I love the balance between the reflections and the subsurface rocks.
