I heart NY! Happy Fourth of July!

I heart NY! Happy Fourth of July!
I don't have enough time to find a proper "America" photo to wish all my American friends a Happy Fourth of July/ Independence Day.

Yes, I know America is much more than "just" New York, but this is the only photo I took today that fits the America criteria.

Some of my personal friends are boycotting visiting America because of the present American president. Even though I currently have no concrete plan to visit the U.S., I disagree with these anti-America and boycott America sentiments.

America and Canada have been friends and neighbours for well over 100 years, let's not give up that special relationship that easily!

If I didn't visit the U.S. more during the Obama era because Obama was President, there is no logic to boycott the U.S. now just because Trump is the President.

Plus, more than half of Americans did not vote for Trump. If I lump all Americans as "lunatic", "bad", "erratic", "racist" and "misogynist" just because Trump behaves like that, I'd be committing the same errors that I criticize Trump for.

I'd go along with you, Swire, if the US wasn't currently throwing its weight around yet again over softwood lumber (a bipartisan activity in the States). They're going to lose again but still take a ton of money out of our pockets, so let's take some out of theirs.

Besides, there are all sorts of places to go in Canada. I spent last night at the Legion in Merlin, Ontario watching fireworks.
